Car Audio: Pairing an amp to a sub.?
How many watts should I run through a single Pyle sub (3200 peak power)? would a 3000 watt amp be okay?
I am set on picking up a PLD12WD which runs 3200 peak power. Im not sure of the RMS rating though. Would it be okay to run a Pyle PLA2230 through it bridged? It is a 3000 watt Amplifier.
Is there a different set up I should use?
If you are set on buying that sub and want a pyle amp then this amp would be a better match.

Being that sub is a 4ohm DVC you would need to wire it in parallel for a 2ohm load.
See here how to wire your sub and use option 1.

And with your sub wired to a 2ohm load you can't bridge it to that 2 channel amp you was talking about, because it won't handle an ohm load that low when bridged.
