does a lcd monitor drain a ups?
Ran into a problem where a ups was going into alarm late in the day. It did not do this in the previous location. The only change was the monitor was plugged directly to the ups. When I unplugged the monitor I had no more alarms. So my questions is, does an lcd or other flat screen monitor have adverse effects on ups systems?
Plug the Monitor in the AC outlet.
The UPS is for protecting data on the PC.
In the event of a power failure you can plug it into the UPS if needed.
