'01 BMW Z3 Aftermarket Stereo Install Question?
After hooking up all the wires that the new stereo needed I have four smaller wires left over.
The stereo powers up fine and operates normally except I have no sound at my speakers.
I spoke with a few people that said some BMWs come with an Amp already installed and it needs to be turned on.
I'm assuming the old stereo sent the signal to the amp to turn it on.
I found the Amplifier in the trunk of my car and located the connector on the aft side of the amp.
does anyone know what type of signal (voltage or ground or other) that it needs to turn on?
I found a Stereo Wire Harness that said it was a "Amplifier Integration Harness" for use with the BMW. Does that actually turn on the Amp?
If it's as simple as a jumper I'll do it myself
Anyone have any tips or know much about this?
i'd guess a power remote wire
