How many amplifiers will I need?
I'm planning on starting a new band, but i'm not sure how many amplifiers i will need. I'll probably have 4 band members. I already have one old one that is about 2 ft tall and 1 and a half ft wide. It can be pretty loud, and has two ports that instruments can plug into. I'm assuming two smplifiers would be good. Am I right?
First, about your current Amplifier, your amplifier may have several ports, but all instruments are made to sound independent, and also, if each instrument has its' own amplifier, the music sounds much cleaner, which will lead to more people appreciating your music.
Now about how many amplifiers you will need. It all depends on your instruments. Now, you will need one Bass Amplifier, two guitar amplifiers, and if your drums are electric, you'll also need an amplifier for that.
If I were you, I'd wait until you get the band up and running before you went out and spent a lot of money on Amps, because the last two bands I've been in haven't even had a full band practice.
Last, I'd like to include two small but important things. Don't get big amps until you have gotten a gig. Research the different amps before you buy them. And VERY IMPORTANT-BUY BASS Amp(S) FOR BASS GUITAR(S)
