Casablanca Car

I've tried using System Restore several times, but it won't work. It even pushes the restore point dates back each day. Like right now if I go in there the earliest restore point is for the middle of May. When my computer restarts after attempting to do a system restore, it says something like system restore incomplete...

I have tried to put my computer in safe mode (I can't ever see a place where I should hit F8). The only software I've installed around the time I first noticed this is Kodak Easyshare that came with my camera. I uninstalled it once and reinstalled it. I looded under restore settings, and it is ON. The amount of disk space to use for Restore is on maximum. I don't want to have to use my backup disk unless I absolutely have to - First of all I wouldn't even know how to use it. Plus it would be a hassle to try to get my stuff back. (My Internet company didn't even give me a disk to restore my Internet service in case I do have to do a backup.)

Any suggestions?
