Car Audio System in an enclosure... Power Q.?
I would like to build an audio system , with car audio components ie; head unit, 2way 4inch speakers, 1x subwoofer, using a 4 Channel Amp (if possible) or a 2 way and a mono-block amp. I would like to have all of this in some sort of an enclosure of course with the amp's, speakers and sub all visible. I was thinking something simple like just a box each side 500x500mm. Though probably a little larger to fit everything in. As i would need separate compartments for each speaker and the sub.
Was thinking...
- A head unit with peak 4x 52watt.
-2 way speakers, peak at 120watt, and rated input at 20wat
-A subwoofer peak at 600watt
a) Could i use a single 4 way amp to power the system?Or even a 2 way for the speakers and a 2 way for the sub.
b)how much power would it/these need?
c)I would like to power all of this off a single lab power supply. How much voltage/wattage would this need?
Help would be greatly appreciated even if only one of the Q's.
Thanks.
You will have to run all this of 2 dry cell Batteries as a power supply will not be enough . All you need to do is have a charger to supply 14.4 volts continuous charge rate around 30 Amps
