Asus A8N32 SLI Deluxe beeping at me?
I turned on my computer as normal, but the motherboard is making a series of beeps at me: 4 beeps in rapid succession, kind of like an alarm clock. The computer started up fine regardless, and seems to be working alright, though the beeping persists at random intervals. What could those beeps mean?
I looked all through the manual for the beep codes and they didn't have it! (I am getting fed up with ASUS. I used to be a big fan, but they have gone downhill.) That sounds like some kind of an error code, but thanks to another worthless manual, I can't tell you what it is.
I would email this question to the ASUS support site. They will get back to you in a couple of days. Use the exact phrasing that you used above.
Since all runs fine, my only worry would be that there is a loose connection somewhere that causes the beep to come at random places. I would want to have some idea of what it means.
About the only diagnostic suggestion that I can add is to turn on the voice stuff in the bios (Chapter 3). Maybe she will tell you what the problem is instead of just beeping.
