My Car Remote doorlock is working half the time ?
and won't work from a far distance, its not the remote battery, i got them checked..
and when i opened and closed the remote, it was working from a distance i never was able to use before..for a couple of tries only, then maybe 30minutes later it's back to being close ..
What could that be?
For the high in the air advice: I was trying from the 3rd floor of a building (about 100ft maybe) and it worked WHEN i opened the case and put it back together without changing anything
Sometimes remotes use frequencies that are interfeared by things like pluged in cell phone chargers or other remotes, to save money some car companies make remotes with weaker frequencies that can be easily interfeared with.
The tricks you might want to try
1) put the remote to a piece of metal( thin metal wire or keychain ring)
2) raise the remote higher up in the air or put it to your body
Both these tricks use another object as an antenna or Amplifier to route the signal
