My gps Eclipse screen wont read Cd's or DVDs?
My screen went out on the weekend . Took it in and said that the fuse blew out so they fixed it. Everything works fine. My navigation works fine the stereo etc. For some reason when i insert a DVD movie or music video or even my music cd's wont read em. Why? does anyone know what they did. Im takin it back so they can fix it for what they did but incase its something small so i dont habve to drive that far for it.
i am assuming that you are saying that it won't play sound or video. if that is the case, it sounds like something in the cd/dvd drive is bad or there is dirt on the eye in the cd/dvd drive.
if you mean that its playing sound but no video, then you either have a bad connection to the parking brake wire or the unit itself is not reading that the parking brake is engaged.
either way, bringing it back to the place that installed it is a good idea. depending on how old the unit is, they should be able to fix it or get it warrantied. eclipse comes with a two or three year warranty.
