Why can I only get two of my 4 Garage Door remotes to program at a time?
I had two remotes and purchased two more. I have a chamberlain lift master that you press the button on the back of the unit then press the remote until the lite on the gar door opener blinks. Every time I program one remote another stops working. I can only get 2 of the four working at a time. Any ideas?
Older Chamberlains have little memory space. Therefore you can get into first in first out situations. Or the board could be bad. Press and hold the programming button until the diode light beside it goes out. The memory should now be empty. No transmitter should work. Now reprogram everything. If it still does not work your only alternative I can think of is if your transmitters have three way DIP switches try setting them all alike. That way you use only one memory slot for all four transmitters. (before doing this erase the memory again)
