I have a female parakeet and she has a red lump in her back by her tail.HELP!?
I have a female parakeet and a male one both are sick but the female one has a red lump by her tail and she keeps rubbing it with her head.I don't know what to do about it and i cant afford to go to the vet.Please,give me some help,advise,any thing, just please i don't want her to die!
That sounds like her preen gland. Which she will rub her beak and head on then rub her feathers to waterproof them. It secrets a special oil. if it is swollen or to red or any discharge then may be infected and then must seek vet care. I am sure there is a vet that will let you make payments or can call a breeder for advice. Good luck
