Will a high performance Car Sub Woofer drain my car battery ?
I'm talking about a HCCA orion 15" 4000watt 2000RMS sub , also has an Amp which also powers 2000RMS , will all this power drain my car battery ?
My mate has a 15" diamond sub 1000rms with an amp and this other thing which is a tube that connects to the sub and the battery and he said you need this or your battery will drain and you wont be able to start ya car, what are these called and what one do I need for my sub ?

NO NO NO, capacitors are virtually useless. In fact they cause more strain on your alternator. Its just a newb myth that they "save" anything! LOL! Its laughable. Your amp already has enough capacitance built into it. Your mate is a newb.
2000 watt RMS amp is going to be way hard on your alternator no matter what! Its simple electronics... the amp pulls more amperage than your alternator can provide. It wont really drain the battery while driving, but it will pretty fast while playing with the engine off. A capacitor can dischage quickly--- the alternator takes a huge hit when it has to re-charge the cap. Useless!
Best option is buying a HIGH OUTPUT alternator. And the big three upgrade!
