can someone please help me?
i need to know how long my battery on an inverter will run my laptops ac charger
the battery is 12 volt 6.4 AH and the inverter is 75 watts normal output with an avrage effencey and my laptops ac adapter draws 68 watts
So basically you need to draw perhaps 100 watts from a 12 volt 6.4A-hr battery.
Well, 12 volts and 6.4 Amps is 77 watts, so about an hour and 20 minutes.
But there are a lot of losses in this system. Why not get an adaptor and run the laptop directly from the 12 volt battery. You will probably get more than 2 hours that way.
