Buzzing / Humming (Car Audio)?
I have a 15' Thunder 9500, MTX 81000D Amp, Kenwood CD player (Dont know the exact model number), JL RCA's and 4 gauge wiring. I've had this system for a while now, but lately whenever I seem to change a song I get a buzzing / humming noise coming from the subwoofer. Everything is hooked up right also..I've triple checked it. So far i've tried running the RCA's on the opposite side of the power wire, but that didnt seem to work at all. There's also interference when I move around the RCA wires. Would a Ground Loop Isolator help out? Other than that i'm completely clueless. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Oh one last thing is that there is nothing wrong with the amp or cd player.
The grounds are all at the same point except for the head unit, which i'm assuming is fine because I used a wiring kit.
As for the equipment, everything is in perfect order...nothing is wrong with them.
Hmmm, make sure you ground all equipment to the same point.. then you shouldn't need a ground loop isolator. If that doesn't work, then try swapping out different pieces of equipment until you find what the problem is.
