i have a audio system on a tv on analog audio out and the system is self powered no Amp wich is located in the subwoofer wondering if there is a small box or preamp to use in beteween the tv and audio module using an equilizer is out of the question no space ! im looking for a system kind like boostbox for marine boat systeme called boost box amplifies the volume
It's difficult to answer your question, since it is worded in a rather confusing manner. You say the system is self powered no amp. If it is self powered, that means it has amp built in. If it is not powered, then it should be called passive. If the subwoofer has a built in crossover, then all you would need is an amp, which, I take it, you need to be very small. Boost box isn't an Amplifier, from what I can find. All it does is control the volume of another amplifier. If the subwoofer does not have a crossover built in, then you will end up with the high frequencies coming out of the subwoofer, and you will be running the amp you hook up to at a lower impedance than the amp might handle.
