what causes the wipers to lose home position on a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix?
I have a 1997 pontiac grand prix, the wipers lost there home position an wont go back down, now when they are on they stop in the up position, the passenger side one works now when it wants to, the drivers side works fine now, just stops in the up position, they seem to be tight, what would cause this to happen? When the passenger side one does work it will over travel and stuck on the driver side one? Thanks for any and all help!! Bob
the arms are mounted on a tapered spline loosen the nut or bolt on top lift up slightly and place in home position then tighten the nut sometimes the splines get stripped when wipers are frozen or jammed
