What is the brightest/most powerful light bulb I can put in my bayonet ceiling socket?
Hi,
My light is way too dim in my room, and I need a very bright light for the purpose of reading charts .etc
What is the most powerful (.e.g. Watt, brightness, whiteness .etc) bulb/lamp I can get for my standard ceiling bayonet-style light sockets.

If it is a bare bulb socket, a 23W CF bulb, or 100W incandescent.
If is has a shade, there should be a label, and it likely says 60W.
You can use any size CF bulb you want.
I'd get a halogen desktop lamp though.
