Custom Built Amps For A Sony STR-K740P Surround Sound System???
I was wondering if there's any place where I can get a custom built Amp for my surround sound system? I want about 1.000 watts per channel. I was just needing it for 5 speakers. I don't need it for my sub woofter. I have a powered sub and have a y spliter so I can hook up duel subs and just haven't bought a second sub yet. Yeah I know havin' duel subs and a ton of power may be over kill but just want a ton of power just in case I ever have a big party or something.
i really dont think its possible, and if it is its a total waste of money. Power doesent mean anything! have you ever heard of speaker Sensetivity this means how efficent the speaker is its measured in decibels usually horn loaded speakers like klipsch have a really high efficency and this means they will play louder with less power than any sony speaker will. Also you may want to buy QUALITY compnents that you can actually enjoy the sound of not just volume like a Nice NAD Amplifier Some KEF, or B&W speakers, and for the low end of the sound spectrum A Velodyne Subwoofer.
Take This for example Lets say you buy a NAD Amplifier and it has 75Watts RMS per chanel, thats more power than you will ever need. 75 NAD Watts continuous will clear the room you in meaning nobody will want to be in there due to the volume.
heres a few realitys about power you may want to hear
just because you have double the Wattsyou dont get double the Volume.
Watts dont Make a better sound quality
Speakers can only play to the Maximum SPL OR sound pressure level reguardless of the power you giving them.
But if you have to have the power heres what i suggest you buy as your Amplifiers.
if you really want alot of power i suggest you buy mono block amplifiers.
