08 Honda Civic (Remote Starter bypass)?
Hi!
I recently bought A Remote Start for my car that is (VIPER 5701). I got a quote to install that from best-buy for $200, they sad i also need a bypass module for that that is like $120. with this I don't have to loss my valet key. So i was wondering if anybody know what type of module is that, so i can see online. because sometime you find better deals online. Any site? Model number for That bypass module. Thanks.

its needed because there is a chip in your key that is read by the ignition cylinder if its not present the car will not start, this is to prevent hot wiring or someone busting the ignition with a screwdriver and taking the car. Anyway what the bypass does is trick the car into thinking the key is present while the remote starter runs the car. if you look around online you could get it for around $60
