My wifes car has no power at all. just died even door locks and lights do not work. Either does starter?
battery was not hot, but can smell almost like plastic or wire.?

U have bad connection at the battery , maybe corrosion , it so use a simple can of coke to poor on the post to clean them or buy battery cleaner . It that is not it u could have a burnt wire , follow the wires to see if one might have got against the exhaust or something !
