is it ok to put a subwoofer and a speaker in the same box?
i'm building a box for my 12" sub.
I want to add a speaker or two to the top of the box
will that work? or will i have problems with the magnets interfeering?
There is no problem with doing this. The speakers you have will be much smaller, and if your sub is running to its maximum then you won't be able to hear the speakers. If you have a car with a trunk then there is no point in having the speakers you will only hear them about 20% of their power. If you have an SUV or a hatchback with a large opening from the sub to you then it's a good idea. Look online and see custom enclosures that have speakers right next to them. I recommend getting small enclosures seperate from the box so that they can produce the sound on their own, and not forming together with the sub. (if the sub is ridiculous, then it could actually blow the speakers out of the box, even if drilled down properly)
