How do I know if my TV has a digital tuner?
I do not have any cable or satellite, but have been using rabbit ears for service. I have a new HD Television I got this past October. Is there a way I can see clearer picture without the antennnas? Will I need a cable to hook up to something? Please help with details on how to check and everything.
It would help if you provided a model number.
It's likely you have a digital tuner, but not absolutely certain.
If you have a digital tuner, you should be getting digital TV, including HDTV, from an antenna. DTV is broadcasting in most parts of the country. I've attached links to information regarding over the air DTV broadcasting. If there are HDTV stations in your area, and you're not receiving them, you may need a better antenna.

If you check your manual, or search on-line, you're looking for your sets specs to see if it has an ATSC tuner. This is the receiver needed to receive OTA DTV.
