If I leave my computer on 24/7, how big of an impact will that have on my electricity bill?
I have a 550 Watt power supply in my computer. I leave my PC on 24/7 every day. By using online calculators, it say's it should cost me around $35.00 a month for this ONE electronic being on all the time.
That cannot be right because my electricity bill is typically around $70 a month and thats with electric heating and 2 other PCs being on all the time.
Can anyone tell me on average how much they believe my PC is charging me monthly for being on? Thanks!
I live in Ohio and when I walk to class it's like -10 degrees outside and I can barely make it 20 feet without cursing the Heavens.
